Kanchipuram or Kanjivaram saree, are woven naturally by weavers from Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, and are considered to be of the highest quality among the saree family.

What is it about sarees? Why do I get excited when I see a new design, print, embellishment, new styles of wearing it? I can never give a proper answer to this. What I do know, is that the saree signifies the grace of Indian women, adequately displaying the curves at the right places.

I love the prints and colours here. So fresh and young, pleasing to the eye as well. Matching a few different patterns and colours on a saree is an art. You have to an eye for it.

Fabric Shopping.

I have been in Chennai-India, for the past week, which explains my absence. Made a trip down to do some fabric shopping and visit some factories as well. Met so many talented people in the textile field and I am just, SO overwhelmed with the options and possibilities. Just to fill you guys in on my trip – here are some shots.
